Job Title: Machine Shop Shift Engineer  

Qualification:  
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.  

Experience:  
- 3-5 years of experience in VMC (Vertical Machining Centre) and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine shop operations.  

Skills & Competencies:  
- CNC Programming: Proficient in CNC programming, tool offsets, setup, and operation.  
- Tool Management: Knowledge of proper tool handling, maintenance, and inventory management.  
- Total Productive Maintenance (TPM): Experience in TPM practices to enhance machine uptime and reduce breakdowns.  
- 5S Implementation: Familiar with 5S principles for workplace organization and cleanliness to maintain a safe and efficient environment.  
- Leadership: Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a team of operators to meet production targets and ensure quality standards.  
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer software for machine control, troubleshooting, and record keeping (such as CAD/CAM software, MS Office, etc.).  

Responsibilities:  
- Manage and supervise machine shop operations during assigned shifts.  
- Ensure machines are set up properly and operating efficiently with minimal downtime.  
- Monitor and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.  
- Oversee tool management, ensuring the availability of correct tools and replacements.  
- Implement and support TPM practices to maximize machine reliability.  
- Apply 5S principles to maintain a clean and organized work environment.  
- Troubleshoot machine issues and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruptions.  
- Provide leadership and guidance to the shop floor team, ensuring smooth workflow.  
- Assist with CNC programming and optimize machine operations for efficiency and quality.  
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
